Kyrie Irving’s Nike shoe is the top-selling basketball sneaker

CLEVELAND, Ohio — Kyrie Irving has another reason to celebrate on this, his 25th birthday. The latest iteration of his signature basketball shoe by Nike is currently the best-selling pair of basketball kicks out there.
“The Kyrie 3 launched in December and now is the top-selling performance basketball shoe in the marketplace,” Nike Brand President Trevor Edwards said in an earnings call.
The claim was backed by a sports-industry analyst to the sneaker blog, SoleCollector.com, which added sales of NBA players’ signature shoes have been dropping significantly for a while now.
Part of the reason for Irving’s success? At $120, his shoes are among the most affordable, readily available in a number of colorways and not overly complicated in design, which is not something you can say about his teammate LeBron James’ latest sneaker, the LeBron 14.
